Student Compliance

Compliance for the School of Nursing

Compliance is a set standard of legal, ethical, and professional practicum by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. It applies to all students who are participating in a recognized nursing program that meets all educational requirements to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination, “NCLEX-RN”; often referred to as “NCLEX”. Candidates who successfully pass the NCLEX are determined as fit to begin practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Part of your responsibility as a student in this program will be your own compliance tracking. Complio and ACEMAPP will be the tools you will use to track personal and clinical site compliance. Compliance standards will be required in various facets as a working and practicing registered nurse (RN). Meeting and maintaining program compliance for the School of Nursing’s requirements will prepare you for your future in the professional field.

Complio, by American DataBank, is an online system used to track personal student compliance. The site hosts the details of documentation proving your compliance, along with other verifications. You will utilize your Complio account to maintain compliance through graduation. Upon accepting admission to ÃÛѨÊÓƵ SON, you will open a Complio account.

ACEMAPP tracks your clinical site compliance. It is crucial you complete all assigned ACEMAPP assessments and requirements as clinical partners have direct viewing access to your account. During your first term in the program, you will be invited to set up your ACEMAPP account.

Student Responsibility for Compliance

Upon accepting admission into ÃÛѨÊÓƵ School of Nursing, students will need to provide documentation and verifications prior to the program's Orientation Day. Failure to reach compliant status by the date outlined in your admission offer will result in the cancellation of your admission.

It is your responsibility to attain compliance—and stay compliant—to be successful in your program. Compliance directly affects your ability to complete your course requirements. Failure to maintain compliant status as a current student will impact your ability to attend clinicals—including simulations, community settings, and/or hospitals. Missed clinical experiences due to non-compliance are counted as an absence, which can then lead to failure of a clinical practicum course.

In addition to ÃÛѨÊÓƵ immunization and certification requirements, individual clinical sites may require additional health and professional requirements. Students must complete clinical site- specific requirements of agencies they are assigned to for their clinical experience. These must be completed prior to the start of the assigned clinical.

Complio

Complio is a third-party program which tracks and securely stores student immunization & compliance records. The student is responsible for the cost of subscription to Complio—$120. This will cover the cost of housing your personal data over the course of your nursing program.  It will also cover the cost of the required background check and drug screening.

Students are responsible for all costs incurred to complete their compliance requirements for Complio. This means that it is your responsibility to pay for lab tests and doctor’s visits. Please see below for more information on how to plan accordingly.

ACEMAPP

ACEMAPP is another tracking site that you will use to help you keep track and coordinate with your clinical placements. The cost for this subscription is built into student fees and will not require additional payment.

Tools for Success/Your First Doctor’s Visit

Please schedule an appointment with your primary care physician ASAP. This will help you with completing your compliance requirements efficiently. Schedule the following tasks to be completed during your appointment:

Obtain Immunization Record. If you are unable to get one from your office visit, you may look up your state’s Immunization Information System (IIS) and request your records from there.

Complete Health Assessment Form. This can only be done in person. A telehealth appointment will not be accepted. Please ensure that your provider fills out all necessary fields.

Get boosters for all vaccinations that have lapsed or expired.

Schedule your Tuberculosis test. You will need to submit either TWO (2) PPD skin tests in which the test results are read within 7-21 days of each other. Or you can request a QuantiFERON TB blood test.
