Scholarships for Studying Abroad
Start applying for scholarships once you have applied to the program. Most scholarship deadlines are similar to program deadlines.
All study abroad scholarships and fellowships are highly competitive and require a high GPA and strong references. Eligibility may be limited to certain majors or based on class standing, location of study, careers and other criteria. Most scholarships will have additional requirements that students must adhere to.
Please note that some of these programs allow you to apply on your own, but many of them require you to apply through your university and to be officially endorsed or nominated by your university. This process takes time, so plan ahead. IPO highly encourages students applying for competitive scholarships to work with ÃÛѨÊÓƵ's Director of Competitive Scholarships: Prof. Dawn Nowacki at dnowacki@linfield.edu.
We have separated the scholarship opportunities into two sections. The first section provides information on scholarships that can potentially be used to help cover the cost of your ÃÛѨÊÓƵ study abroad program. The second section provides information on scholarships and fellowships that can be used for non-ÃÛѨÊÓƵ summer programs or post-graduation opportunities.
