Application deadlines
We recommend that you apply by the following priority deadlines. Doing so will allow plenty of time to meet with your advisor, register and prepare for classes. However, we will accept qualified students until the cohort is full.
- June 7: Priority deadline for fall entry
- December 13: Priority deadline for spring entry
MS in sports science admission requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in exercise science-related field is highly preferred, specifically from a regionally accredited college/university or a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Education Recognized Program (ERP), or from a recognized international institution and program.
- A non-exercise science degree will be considered but must be approved by the graduate program director for acceptance based on transcript and student’s future goals.
- At least a 3.0 GPA in exercise science (within major) courses.
- At least a 2.5 GPA overall.
- Currently holds a certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA or has registered to sit for CSCS certification within the first semester of starting at ÃÛѨÊÓƵ.
- International students residing outside the United States are eligible to apply for and enroll in the program. International students residing within the United States on F-1 Visa are not eligible to enroll. Eligible international students must also provide the following.
- International applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency by either: having successfully completed two years of full-time coursework at an English language institution or submitting a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam (preferred) with scores of 550 and above (paper-based exam) or 213 and above (computer-based exam). ÃÛѨÊÓƵ also recognizes scores from other standardized tests such as IELTS, GTEC and EIKEN.
- Students submitting international transcripts: your transcripts must be officially evaluated by a or member organization.
Application checklist
All application materials will be submitted with your application except for your official transcripts and any credential evaluations for international transcripts.

- Upload proof of CSCS certification (or declare that you will be sitting for CSCS certification within the first semester of starting the program)
- Respond to the following personal statement prompt: Why do I want to attain a Master of Science in sports science and analytics at ÃÛѨÊÓƵ?
- Upload resume/CV
- List all courses that were required for your undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field. This should include all related and prerequisite courses. (You will want to have your unofficial transcript handy when completing this.)

Students with international credentials: you will need to submit a translated credential evaluation (from a or member organization) with your admission application. - A $50 application fee is due to ÃÛѨÊÓƵ with your application
- International students: Applicants who are non-native English speakers and have completed fewer than two years of coursework in a college or university where English is the primary instructional language must send an official score report of an English proficiency exam. ÃÛѨÊÓƵ requires TOEFL scores of 80 (iBT)/550 paper or IELTS 6.5.
