ÃÛѨÊÓƵ awards credits for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations when official score reports are received by the Registrar’s Office. Credits are awarded on a course-by-course basis in academic areas taught at ÃÛѨÊÓƵ. Students may count up to a total of 31 credits from Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and other non-course credits towards the 125 required for graduation.

Advanced Placement (AP) 

Students will receive four-semester credits for each exam passed with a score of four or five. Credits from any single AP exam may be used to fulfill only one general education area. If an AP subject has two areas listed you can choose where you would like it to apply. Refer to the AP Grid to see how credits from each AP exam are awarded. 

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Students will receive four-semester credits for each standard-level exam passed with a score of five, six or seven and eight-semester credits for each higher-level exam passed with a score of five, six or seven. Students earning the full IB Diploma with a score of 30 or higher will be awarded an additional four-semester credits. Credits from any single IB exam may be used to fulfill only one general education area (three exceptions noted below).
