State government internships are valuable and plentiful and a fantastic opportunity for students to interact and contribute to today’s political atmosphere. Here are some current positions where we are placing our political science majors.

Board of County Commissioners Eugene, OR
$15/hour
This internship will act as an to provide administrative help and constituent services to the residents of Lane County. The Assistant will help with administrative duties such as assisting with phone calls, responding to emails, correspondence, scheduling, attending events and more, depending on skill level.

Congressman Kurt Schrader: summer internship Oregon City, OR
Deadline: March 15
A , one will help with administrative processes and duties. Legislative interns wi attend hearings and congressional briefings. Digital interns will compile press clips, draft releases and social media postings, and design web content. Previous experience with design programs such as Adobe and Canva is preferred. Assist district staff with casework and outreach as well as performing many of the research responsibilities conducted in Washington DC and staffing the Congressman at district events. Must be college students and recent graduates.
