Sarah Shouse is originally from Santa Maria, Ca. She received her MFA in dance, performance and choreography emphasis, from Mills College in Oakland, Ca. During her time at Mills, she had the pleasure of performing works by Sonya Delwaide-Nichols and Yukie Fujimoto. Sarah was also the recipient of the Liatis Foundation Fellowship Scholarship and awarded the E.L. Wiegand Foundation Award for excellence in performance and choreography. Sarah graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts in dance from Cal State, Fullerton. She has additional training in Limon technique as well as having studied at the Ailey School in NYC. She has danced with Benita Bike’s DanceArt, Nebula Dance Lab and Variable Velocity.

Sarah is currently on faculty with Oregon State University, having previously been on faculty with California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Allan Hancock College, Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA) and Mission College. Sarah is well versed in teaching dance courses that range from modern, ballet, jazz, and hip hop to performance skills and composition.
