Gayatree Siddhanta Sarma has been teaching marketing and management and wine courses with a primary focus on international business at ÃÛѨÊÓƵ since 2015. Prior to joining ÃÛѨÊÓƵ, Gayatree taught at Marist College, NY, for twelve years, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Beyond the two coasts, she also had a stint at Nurtingen Geislingen University in Germany. Gayatree has lived and worked in three continents and worked in Japan in marketing India as an investment destination in the crucial early stages of India’s economic liberalization. Her culturally rich lived experience shapes her teaching style.
Gayatree’s areas of academic interests include domestic and global marketing, sustainability, and transforming consumer behavior in emerging economies. She is also a freelance writer whose work has been published in many media outlets including Newsweek magazine. Throughout her career, she has been closely involved with mentoring and advising students for various competitions and leading events to spread global cultural awareness.
She enjoys her free time by traveling, playing trivia and working closely with her community.
