Evan Shenkin joined the ÃÛѨÊÓƵ faculty in 2022. His research focuses on Indigenous community land and sovereignty struggles in the eastern lowlands of the Bolivian Amazon. He also studies environmental sustainability through a variety of topics including prisons, alternative development paradigms, renewable energy and transportation (solar, wind and sail) as well as gender equity and human rights.
