Denise Farag, associate professor of business law and associate dean for graduate programs and new initiative in the School of Business, joined ÃÛѨÊÓƵ in 2008. Denise co-created the Sport Management program at ÃÛѨÊÓƵ and was instrumental in the launch of the Master of Science in business program. She was the ÃÛѨÊÓƵ Samuel H. Graf Faculty Achievement Award winner in 2020. Denise is past President of the Pacific Northwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business (PNALSB) and a staff editor for the American Business Law Journal, the premier peer-reviewed journal in business law. She was awarded the national Hoeber Memorial Award for Excellence in Research for her article published in the Journal of Legal Studies in Education. Denise is also a licensed attorney and member of the Oregon State Bar. Before becoming a faculty member at ÃÛѨÊÓƵ, Denise was a practicing business law, tax, and estate planning attorney.

Academic Interest
Denise’s academic interests include tax law, laws impacting small businesses and nonprofit/exempt organizations, and sports law. Her current work focuses on Esport and Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) issues on college campuses.
